Network Engineer jobs

Job Summary:
A Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting an organization’s network infrastructure. This includes local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), internet systems, security configurations, and cloud networking. The role ensures reliable connectivity, optimal performance, and secure communication across all systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN).
• Install and support network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Ensure network security through firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
• Perform regular system updates, backups, and maintenance.
• Manage IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and network protocols.
• Support network expansion, upgrades, and infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with IT teams for system integration and cybersecurity measures.
• Document network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
• Respond to network outages and provide technical support.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in network administration or engineering roles.
• Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs).
• Familiarity with network security practices and tools.
• Experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco Systems or similar providers.
• Understanding of cloud networking (optional but preferred), including platforms like Amazon Web Services.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.

Pay: KD600.000 per month
