Position Title: Junior Accountant

Position Overview:

Loloah Alshaya General Trading & Contracting Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support the daily financial and accounting operations of the company. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial recordkeeping, and reporting procedures. The role requires accuracy, integrity, and strong attention to detail while handling financial transactions and maintaining accounting records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Prepare journal entries, payment vouchers, receipt vouchers, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
  • Reconcile bank statements, supplier statements, and customer accounts.
  • Maintain petty cash records and monitor cash transactions.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
  • Prepare financial reports, schedules, and reconciliations as required.
  • Verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims for accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for accounting and financial documents.
  • Support internal and external audit activities by providing required documentation and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting/ERP systems.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience in construction or contracting companies is an advantage.
  • Kuwait residency with transferable visa preferred.
