Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret patient, medical-related, or information systems data to improve clinical services.
  • Analyze computer and information technologies to determine applicability to health practice administration and back-office functions.
  • Design, develop, select, test, implement, and evaluate new or modified informatics solutions, data structures, and decision-support mechanisms to support clinical workflows and information management.
  • Develop or deliver training programs for health information technology, creating operating manuals as needed.
  • Develop or implement policies or practices in coordination with involved Departments needed for redesigning workflows based on evidence-based practices.
  • Implement or evaluate health information technology applications, tools, processes or structures to assist nurses, physicians, and clinical support staff with data retrieval.
  • Provide, support or follow-up pre-requisites needed in maintaining frontend functionalities and reports in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Translate nursing and medical practice information between clinicians and IT analysts in order to accurately design and implement workflows and reports.
  • Monitor physician and nurses EMR adoptability to provide timely and efficient training to reduce patient care disruption.
  • Monitor proper data entry by health care professionals to ensure precise hospital database which will be used for administrative purposes (audit, statistics, review, and reporting).

Qualifications, Competences and Skills:

Education: Degree in Informatics Field or equivalent

Experience: 1-3 years’ work experience in Informatics/ healthcare setting

Language: Proficiency in verbal and written English Language

Computer Proficiency: MS Office suite– highly skilled with IT interest

Performance Competencies & Skills:

  • Energetic team player seeking challenging position in health informatics
  • Experience with CERNER Millennium hospital information system preferred
  • Knowledge of trends and innovations in the area of health IT.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
