Junior Accountant

Location: Kuwait

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, assist with reconciliations, and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a long-term career in accounting and finance within a dynamic and professional work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Prepare and verify invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, schedules, and management reports.
  • Monitor petty cash transactions and ensure proper controls are maintained.
  • Coordinate with internal departments regarding financial and accounting matters.
  • Assist with audits and provide required documentation when requested.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds may also apply.
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Immediate joiners will be given preference.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in retail, hospitality, F&B, or multi-branch operations is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of Kuwait accounting and tax requirements is beneficial.
