Long hours but co workers made it bearable!

Indeed Featured review

Management wasnt very strong. They will do anything to cover themselves if they were to make a mistake. If you had an issue and you brought it up to them it would take several complaints for them to address the problem!

Pros

Checks were always on time and paid hoildays!

Cons

Only one day off a week while working 15+ hours!

Good foot in the door

It’s a good foot in the door if you have prior military experience and need a quick fix while you find other jobs. As long as you are decently competent and learn your job you will be in good standing to do something else. They do hire people who are bottom barrel but that will make you look better.

Pros

Foot in the door and quick to deploy

Cons

Low pay, poor standard

Great work place

It was a good working enviroment. Constellis Group provided transportation, housing, dental and health insurance. They also provided paid vacation which was 35 days.

IT's a Lie

They take advantage of your need to work. An example of that is to provide $20 per day (estimated) from $100.00 (estimated) Per diem rate, funds provided by the USG for the contractor based on the high cost of living. You must purchase your own ticket to complete your security clearance. It is mandatory to maintain your clearance. You are in essence paying for your job. The salary promised leaving Moyock is not the salary paid once you arrive. They tend to laugh at all stories regardless of validity. They set up accounts in your name with Kuwaiti Banks without your permission breaking most Sarbanes Oxley Act guidelines and federal guidelines while on sovereign US property and in the behest of the USG. This is a bottom of the barrel contract. This assessment is not based on emotion, but verifiable proof. Try to find another job if possible, they will disappoint you and our country. If they did what they promised and not use loophole conversation, I would have nothing to write or complain about

Constellis review

Good money but cost of living in some of the sites are high. Good job to start out contracting and see how things work and gain networking into other contracts.

Various overseas opportunities

Great company to work for! Days are long and the outdoor elements can make the easy job more challenging. Daily hours worked are twelve and you typically only get one day off per week. The most difficult part of the job is the long working hours. The most enjoyable part of the job is getting that paycheck every two weeks and taking vacations to closely exotic places.

Pros

Salary

Cons

Long hours

greedy company

When it was Triple Canopy, it was great. Constellis took over and cut the insurance, base pay, bonus, and per diem. All of the projects are very undermanned forcing employees to work more with less. The company has no interest in trying to fix this, they offer small bonuses to new employees to not quit and those that have been there get nothing. The management on ground is fine, they seem to do the best they can with what they have, but the corporate office continues to avoid addressing the main problem; the pay. Officers are paid 12 hours a day but end up at work around 14 hours and travel 1-2 hours a day depending on what site your on. The medical insurance that we have doesn't work at most hospitals, even if its an emergency! It's not like America where they will treat you know matter what. The company has been made aware of this and still doesn't address the issue. New employees come in angry and tell stories of recruiters lying to them about the pay, living conditions, work load, etc. Also after talking to coworkers on other projects, they have all the same problems.

Pros

It's a job

Cons

Money, weather, location, no drinking, no clubs/bars, time off, lack of sleep, dangerous driving conditions.

Long hours and not enough sleep

working 12 hours out of the day and transportation is a total of 3 hours so we are working pretty much 15 hours out of the day. Well people are quitting because of the leadership and not paying enough to work these long hours.

Life of a security officer

Depending on location the work can be very busy and long but you get what you put into it. The benefits are good. The management will always work with you especially if your a member of the national guard or reserve if you let them know ahead of time.

Terrible management, good pay

Pay is good but it’s a cutthroat industry. Managers are backstabbing and incompetent, coworkers are there solely for pay. Not worth it due to several pay cuts
