When I started I was there to work the rooftop pool parties which were a hit but complicated relationships with the hotel guest. A lot of complaints cause the event to end. It made a lot of added income to the hotel any where from 12-20k in monthly sales to f&b. Bring it back please And book me to dj @djsauce_dc

Professional, fun and energetic work place

One of the best places I worked at due to the community of colleagues and management being above and beyond. They are hard workers but ask know how to make you feel like you belong.

Avoid like the plague!

Staff are a mixed bag, most talk badly about you. Very disorganised workplace, they expect you to know everything from day 1 and get angry at you if you make mistakes. The kitchen staff are much more friendly than the FOH. The electronic tips customers give, you’ll get 2% of that max, General Manager gets the highest cut of service charge / tips then the HR, then the managers, then the supervisors then you get whatever is left and it works it way down like that which doesn’t seem fair as we’re the ones giving the service.

not a good place to work

I was hired for full-time and it went to part-time within six months. Poor reasons given. I asked for more hours (different than hired for) and was told she would "try". This was not done. New people hired for my typical hours. GM no help, did not follow up. Do not work here (at least for front desk)

Decent start to a F and B career

Working the events was the most fun part of the job. Pay was decent but some nights/days you work 10+ hours entirely on your feet. If you are looking for a career in this field, then this is a good starting point.

toxic environment, unrealistic expectations

Over worked, under paid, terrible executive management, you will get called names, expect to work positions you are not paid for, work all hours possible, micro management, short staffed, unprofessional environment, no training, yelled at.

I very much enjoy what I do but our management is horrible and seems like nobody has any hotel experience. My department is wonderful, the other departments make like and the work very un enjoyable.

This is a nice hotel and has a decent pay. But be prepared for management to overworked and yes they have their picks on work load. Management hires who fits the agenda for their accomadations. Not for best interest of company. New Management might be a good ace of employment.

Company with good goals

Decent place to work. Pay is not the best but hours were consistent. Work pace changed with the seasons so if you were someone like a server you could make anywhere between 0-100 in tips a night.

Fast pace workplace

I worked as a good and beverage assistant every weekend on Saturdays. It was extremely tiring as you’re on your feet the whole shift. The pay is very good but management needs work on.

My time there is going to be difficult to forget

Wouldn't recommend housekeeping

Management is NOT good and turned a blind eye to the numerous problems. They have little to no flexibility and will take advantage of you as much as they can. It is a drama filled department, there are very clear favorites and I wouldn't recommend working in the housekeeping department at all.

Not a good place to work

I was really glad they hired me for a summer job at Burchfield's, but the experience was terrible. My coworkers were rude, unfriendly, and constantly grumpy, and my managers wanted things their way to the point that they were mean to the lower ranked workers and couldn't see things from their points of view. The turnover rate was incredibly high as well. If you want to be treated with courtesy and respect, this is not the place for you.

Some funtimes , but poor management and lack of discipline

What is the best part of working at the company?Hotel discounts are the best part What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Management , at least in Scottsdale , do not take complaints seriously . You can complain about the same issue for 5 months and still don’t get anything resolved . Ridiculous. Shady things happening left and right. Maybe it’s just this one location becuase it is a franchise . What is the work environment and culture like at the company?There was a lot of favoritism towards certain people . Was stressful 80 % of the time . What is a typical day like for you at the company?Lack of staffing on most shifts . Security almost non existent. Things always missing when you need them. If we have a problem late at night and can’t find engineering or security ..: we call the head person of engeneering for help.., just to get cussed out becuase we woke them up .

Learning experience that was very painful.
