Fast paced and rewarding work. There is definitely opportunities to grow.
Project Engineer (Former Employee) - Denver, CO - November 19, 2021
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedFast paced and rewarding work. There is definitely opportunities to grow. Not the best work life balance. Worked 2 separate seasons at DIA and both experiences were fast paced and high stress. Schedules are aggressive which at times can burn you out and leave you feeling unsatisfied with the work life balance
Pros
Competitive pay, competitive benefits, challenging and rewarding work
Cons
long hours, not enough training, too corporate

Management was top of the line.
Heavy Equipment Operator (Former Employee) - Winston-Salem, NC - April 21, 2022
It was very easy to have a good day and be productive because of the support and knowledge of the supervisors. You were usually the turn key because that was the only thing missing to complete your Job task was the operator.

Toxic toxic toxic
Field Engineer (Current Employee) - California - March 1, 2022
Expected to work 10+ hours a day to cover for the lack of personal. Expected to do the work equivalent to 3+ engineers. Management does not take time to meet with engineers to review work plans or issues at hand, but then when issues come to light they quickly blame you and do not take any responsibility. They also have no respect for work-life balance. Taking vacation time is frowned upon & those who do not take any time off are praised.

Disengaged Management
Accountant (Former Employee) - Broomfield, CO - November 17, 2021
Rude, arrogant management team that doesn't communicate well and moves the goal posts on a whim. A lot of secretive face-saving stuff. Company got hacked and never admitted what happened or why, just swept it all under the rug. IT making accounting decisions at variance with GAAP, weak finance presence just lets it go on. Flailing around with sub-standard custom processes. Standard approach of releasing not-ready code in prod pilot, fix it later...
Pros
Free Coffee
Cons
Inadequate management

Inconsistent
Off Road Dump Truck Driver (Former Employee) - Apex, NC - September 9, 2021
Overall, the company is outstanding! Very understanding and laid back but will hire just about anyone which, at times interfered with job production. Most importantly, the work itself was extremely inconsistent even with good weather.

Good place to work
Flatiron Construction Erosion Control Laborer (Former Employee) - Apex, NC - August 10, 2021
Long hours, good management, great safety program. Don't have too much negative to say at all, great place to work and I enjoyed the job. Their erosion control crew does their job well.
Pros
Good hours, good management.
Cons
Hot days are rough, bring a cooler.

Dangerous place to work
Operator (Former Employee) - Denver, CO - July 6, 2021
Do not waste your time working for this company! They don’t take safety or environmental issues seriously! They hire these “safety” people, and they haven’t the faintest idea, what they are doing. Most of the time, they sit around and do nothing! Hire a professional, that will get out in the field!
Pros
Frankly there aren’t any.
Cons
Safety managers are incompetent, not knowledgeable about safety. If you h, ave more then five years experience, you are not getting hire, It’s only a matter of time before they get someone seriously injured, Hire a safety manager that knows what they’re doing

If your money hungry it’s perfect
Overnight foreman (Former Employee) - Highlands Ranch, CO - April 25, 2021
Worked for them for almost 2 years on the c470 express lanes project everything was going great untill corporate send in some new big wig and he fired the night time superintendent and the whole night shift went down hill from there when it got close to the end of the job they offered us retention pay if we stayed and finished the job so people were torn I personally wish I would’ve left before the job was finished because as soon as the job was finished bee we’re told that we had to go to Texas or we didn’t have a job everyone was great up to the project managers anyone who was in the field daily knew what was going on but the guys that hung out in the office all day were completely worthless couldn’t schedule anything correctly couldn’t do anything to support the night shift and everything was always our fault I wouldn’t go back to work on nights there ever again no work/personal balance whatsoever worked 65-85 hours a week it sucks!!
Pros
Occasionally we got a t-shirt or jacket or dinner
Cons
Makes home life and relationships impossible

Seemed good didn't turn out so
Crane Operator (Former Employee) - Fort Worth, TX - February 4, 2021
It was a decent job with decent hours, but kind of a language barrier which caused problems. Made to seem like an outcast with the crews. Hard to communicate.. management barely any help.. poor communication never knew where I would be day to day or what was going on. Always last to know when I should be one of first to inspect my equipment properly without job delay. No paid time off or holidays but do compensate with an added amount to check per hour after 1 yr with company. Throw you to the wolves pretty much in a nutshell
Pros
Simple work
Cons
Short breaks.. lack of communication

Waste of time
Payroll Specialist (Former Employee) - Broomfield, CO - January 13, 2021
No support from management. If you are a new employee, you are set up to fail. You are not given the time or resources to learn your role and everyone knows nothing or doesnt want to help you. Employee turn over is ridiculous in corporate office
Pros
None
Cons
Management, no support

Grunt Work, part of the herd.
Operator/Carpenter/General Laborer (Former Employee) - Greenville, SC - November 10, 2020
Like any construction in the modern world, learn to bend over and take it in the rear. You wake up to work, sleep to work. If you have more to life, or want more to life, keep it to yourself.
