money was good but the work was very labour intensive. staff were all kind. management was very professional. work place was very clean.
the best aspect of this job was overtime as they would pay very generously
Bad management, a shame for K+N company.
Discrimination, low pay rate, not options to evolve except for some people are just a few characteristics for this workplace.
Was a very bad decision to accept the contract there.
Working nights you have no time to yourself and it's definitely not worth the price they pay. The managers test you as replaceable and act on favouritism. If you finish your work you can do someone else's and you just keep getting more and more added to make sure your never stood still
K&N is a good place to work at because the people were understanding and willing to get the job done by any means. The work there was very easy and lay back. The hardest part was working there without no air. I stay to myself got my work done and went home and come back and do it all over it again.
They are a great company to work for they really care for their staff. When covering at other sites you are paid traveling time and expenses. Their hourly pay is a fair bit more than most companies these days. The hardest part of the job was trying to get all the work done by the end of the shift after redundancies were made. I learned how to work smarter not harder. The most enjoyable part of the job was the management put some personality in to their job. Which meant you could have a laugh and joke with them instead of it being formal and serious all the time.
Management makes an excellent work environment and does a great job handling pressure. That is a trickle down effect i think from the very top. Most of the staff seems to take pride in what they do and that is a direct reflection of the management skills.
I do believe that the employees need to start a base pay of no less than $13 an hour. Most employees work hard at Kuehne & Nagel and should be payed as such, especially if they have years under their belt.
