Missed placed

When new ppl come in they are not treated right by most of the workers. They will tell you the wrong things because they think you are coming in to take their job.

Only go for the entry level skills

I can say that the Marriott training program was EQUALLY as horrible as the actual job seeing as I only really had 3 days of training for the night Auditor position. I was the one & only person overnight & I was proving the hotel guest with FULL SERVICES overnight.

Home away from Home

As anyone in the F&B or Hospitality knows, there are a lot of hours that go into even just the daily operations. A lot of time is spent with the people you work with & these people become a second family. I cant imagine a better place to work!

Good place to work if you like high stress jobs

I worked the night shift at the Marriott, which sounds like it would be easy-going, but it was not. We had long checklist of things to do ensuring that everything done earlier in the day was done earlier, and we had to make sure everything would be properly set up for the next day. My co-workers and supervisors were great. We became "work friends," if that makes sense. It's often important to keep one's professional life separate from his or her person life. Nevertheless, we got along really. In addition to the work listed above, we would check guests in and out, just like any front desk worker at a hotel.

Pros

Free meal

Cons

Very few staff around in the middle of the night.
