You are not payed enough for what they expect of you at victorias secret, no matter how much you've done they get frusterated with you that everything is not completed or pefect 100% of the time, which is impossible. The managers are constantly on your case which makes you stressed out and worse at your job? I've had customers witness this and ask if im okay or if my managers are always like that.... Yes they are. Hours are completely random and you dont really have a say on them, each shift also has "on-calls" meaning they can just keep you for an extra two hours after your shift, again you have no say in this, making it impossible to have or makes plans out of work. Save your energy girls
30% off everything, and each month there is free gratis which i loved
A lot of people think working for Victoria’s Secret is a big thing. Actuality it is not. The location I was at they kept me on the same job everyday so I did not have much other experience in anything else. Interview process was super easy! Be prepared to learn a bunch of information you might not have to put to use! The good thing is your 40% discount and being promoted (if they like you). The location I worked for there was a lot of favoritism.
40% discount, fun coworkers
Short breaks, management
The managements behavior and attitude towards employees really ruined the work environment. I’ve overheard multiple managers talk poorly and laugh at the associates, and the entire work environment was very unorganized and toxic. Associates are often denied breaks and are treated very unfairly. The managers sit in office and relax but expect associates to work above and beyond. I would not recommend anyone to work here
Teams really do win in this intimate setting! Everyone is encouraged to be a professional and the best version of themselves.
Victoria's Secret is an energetic, dynamic, and challenging apparel environment to work in. If you're tired of mundane sales jobs, come on over and learn about the intricacies of bra and lingerie crafting! You'll understand what goes into making a bra, and what goes into making a bra fit for your customer to walk out with a little piece of heaven in her bag- soft, designer comfort for the everyday woman of all walks of life!
Teams win, working with talented players is fun
Need better employee lounge area with vending machines, water, etc.
I can’t even describe how depressing it is to work here. The store manager is disrespectful and belittles you. I’ve personally even seen rats in the store. It’s almost impossible to grow within the store. Most of the time the mangers don’t help you with deal with customers nor do they help you close the store. It’s a horrible work environment, so I don’t recommend anyone to ever work there. Even the pay is awful and there’s never hours.
This company BARELY trains you on anything, and throws you out there on the spot expecting you to know what to do, employees are always snarky and rude. Constantly had them in your ear forcing you to bother people constantly and got mad when people didn’t buy enough of the stuff supposed to upsale, even if it isn’t your fault. Only ever saw the actual manager maybe once. They’re grown adult women who gossip like high school girls about eachother. Overall toxic environment, and not a fair work place. Sometimes I didn’t even receive a break when I worked my shifts.
Terrible management, toxic members, do not care about you as a person
It is about what you expect so far as pay for a part-time job. The schedules are not flexible at all. I worked here while in college and it was horrible. Management is not supportive and chooses favorites. Promotions are largely based upon favoritism, not ability.
If you ever work at the one in Bridge Street Huntsville Alabama I suggest reconsider. The pay is ok for an associate at $12 an hour. The women I worked with were a variety bunch a few were nice but some would be really rude and mean. The managers argue with each other and complain to employees about other managers. They also just give you busy work and really just expect you to fold panties while keeping them in color scheme and having the patterns with the right patters as well as the sizes all while watching for customers having to leave your work at a drop of a pin for a customer only to assign you to a different spot and then make you stay in the spot and then criticize you on not engaging enough and make you really pressure customers to buy things as well as not give them their space and to be very much in their business. It’s just not a great place to work.
%30 discount, gratis
Employee discount only applies to full price items, just overall not a great place to work
I started back during the holiday in 2015 and it was a huge change from my previous job. I had fun and I loved who I worked with. However the pay is terrible. It’s been almost five years and I haven’t made 12 dollars yet. They want so much done with no compensation.
Short breaks, pay
Starting the job based off an employee referral made me feel more comfortable about working in that specific store because I knew people and they knew of me. The tasks were new to me but not difficult. The only difficulty that I ever found was being able to beat processing time. Now that I have the experience, I believe I can become a better worker and learn to branch out and speak socially.
Some people working there felt too “entitled”. I Don’t like being around people (some) like that it’s very “bully-like” couldn’t even tell employees they were laid off. Instead having to find out on your own with constantly having no shifts and then calling in asking about it, just to tell you” oh ya, we don’t need your services anymore” very pathetic. No decency whatsoever considering that I’ve been reading from other reviews that this is actually pretty common with i the company. Such a shame.
The nice people you meet
The mean management &/ co workers
