Full job description

Key Responsibilities1. Maintenance & Operations

  • Ensure smooth functioning of all mechanical equipment in the precast factory (batching plant, molds, lifting systems, curing systems, etc.)
  • Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement long-term solutions
  • Maintain maintenance logs, reports, and documentation

2. Production Support

  • Coordinate with production team to minimize downtime
  • Ensure availability of machinery for uninterrupted production
  • Support mold setup, adjustments, and modifications

3. Equipment & Machinery Management

  • Handle installation, commissioning, and testing of new machinery
  • Monitor performance of equipment and suggest improvements
  • Ensure proper lubrication and calibration of machines

4. Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of mechanical systems
  • Identify risks and implement corrective actions

5. Vendor & Spare Parts Management

  • Coordinate with suppliers for spare parts procurement
  • Maintain inventory of critical spare parts
  • Evaluate vendor performance and cost efficiency

6. Continuous Improvement

  • Propose and implement cost-saving initiatives
  • Improve equipment efficiency and reduce breakdown frequency
  • Participate in lean manufacturing / process optimization initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3–7 years of experience in precast, concrete, or heavy manufacturing industry
  • GCC experience preferred (optional based on your requirement)

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of precast machinery (batching plant, concrete mixers, cranes, hydraulic systems)
  • Strong understanding of preventive maintenance systems
  • Familiarity with PLC systems (basic level preferred)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (optional)
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel & reporting
