Full job description
Key Responsibilities1. Maintenance & Operations
- Ensure smooth functioning of all mechanical equipment in the precast factory (batching plant, molds, lifting systems, curing systems, etc.)
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement long-term solutions
- Maintain maintenance logs, reports, and documentation
2. Production Support
- Coordinate with production team to minimize downtime
- Ensure availability of machinery for uninterrupted production
- Support mold setup, adjustments, and modifications
3. Equipment & Machinery Management
- Handle installation, commissioning, and testing of new machinery
- Monitor performance of equipment and suggest improvements
- Ensure proper lubrication and calibration of machines
4. Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections of mechanical systems
- Identify risks and implement corrective actions
5. Vendor & Spare Parts Management
- Coordinate with suppliers for spare parts procurement
- Maintain inventory of critical spare parts
- Evaluate vendor performance and cost efficiency
6. Continuous Improvement
- Propose and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Improve equipment efficiency and reduce breakdown frequency
- Participate in lean manufacturing / process optimization initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3–7 years of experience in precast, concrete, or heavy manufacturing industry
- GCC experience preferred (optional based on your requirement)
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of precast machinery (batching plant, concrete mixers, cranes, hydraulic systems)
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance systems
- Familiarity with PLC systems (basic level preferred)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (optional)
- Good knowledge of MS Excel & reporting
